NDLEA Arrests Drug Trafficking Suspects

A businessman 44 years old Ezemokwe Chukwuebuka who was on his way to Iran has been arrested by the anti-narcotics agency; the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA at the Port Harcourt airport for allegedly ingesting fifty three wraps of cocaine and for concealing  tramadol worth N1.1billion in winter jackets.

The Director of Media and Advocacy NDLEA Femi Babafemi who confirmed this in a statement issued on Sunday noted that Ezemokwe was intercepted by operatives of the agency.

Ezemokwe who was apprehended on Saturday June 7 2025 was said to have ingested 53 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.172 kilograms with the hope of smuggling the substance to Tehran, Iran via Doha on a Qatar Airways flight.

He confessed to have been trafficking drugs between West Africa and Iran for two years before his arrest.
