NCC Engages Stakeholders To Address Bottlenecks

In an effort to address the challenges confronting rural network connectivity in Nigeria; the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has partnered the Association for Progressive Communications among other institutional agencies to put a lasting solution to the issues.

The telecoms industry regulator NCC made this known at a 2-day workshop held June 3rd to the 4th 2025 in Abuja to explore the policy framework that would smoothen community networks towards bridging the digital divide and accelerating socio-economic development in Nigeria’s underserved and unserved communities.

The workshop brought together industry regulators, community leaders, technical experts and potential foreign investors among others to examine policy and regulatory barriers, explore innovative funding mechanisms,as well ensure sustainable renewable solutions.
