IDPs In Yelwata Community Benue State Receive Relief Items From Fidelity Bank

In a timely gesture aimed at bettering the plight of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Benue State a leading financial institution Fidelity Bank Plc has distributed relief materials and food items to over 2,000 victims of the Yelwata attacks who are taking refuge at the Ultra-Modern International Market IDP Camp in Makurdi the state capital.

The distribution of items done in collaboration with the Abbasid Charity Foundation, is part of Fidelity Bank’s ongoing commitment to support the vulnerable communities through its flagship Fidelity Food Bank program.

Fidelity Bank PLC Donates Food Items To Eti-Osa Community In Lagos 

In an effort to reduce food insecurity in Nigeria as well care for humanity Fidelity Bank Plc; as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has extended its warm gesture to the people of Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos through the donation of food items to the community.

The food bank CSR initiative which cuts across beneficiaries from diverse backgrounds reaffirms Fidelity Bank's commitment to better the lives of the people especially the vulnerable in the society.

 While speaking during the distribution exercise the Executive Technical Assistant to the Managing Director/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, Adebayo Adeyinka harped on the long-term impact of the initiative noting that the bank was established to address the pressing challenges of poverty, hunger, malnutrition and infant and maternal mortality within communities.

This warm gesture Adeyinka said aligns with Goal No. 2 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – Zero Hunger – which in return reflects on the bank's long-term commitment to improving lives across the country. He said Fidelity Bank is proud to sustain the nationwide outreach catering for people in IDP camps and flood affected regions such as Niger State among other beneficiaries.

Fubara, Amaewhule Lawmakers Meet In Abuja

In what appears like a peace reconciliation move the suspended governor of Rivers State Siminalayi Fubara has met with the suspended Speaker of the State House of Assembly Martins Amaewhule among other aggrieved lawmakers and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT) Nyesom Wike to end the lingering political crisis in the state.

In a closed-door meeting held Thursday June 26th 2025 in Abuja both Fubara and Amaewhule were captured on camera holding hands and exchanging pleasantries.
